Liquor Lamp Project

One way that I like to challenge my creative mind is to push the boundaries of a material. This could be as simple as using something in a new way or finding a deeper use within an object. For example, an empty glass bottle has an endless number of additional uses. In this case, I saw a glass form that also lets light through it, but who says it couldn’t provide light?

What started out as a complete joke between some friends, actually become something a bit more & they got some awesome birthday gifts out of it. This kind of personal side project has taught me something very valuable; It is not the emptiness of an object that defines it, but the amount of life that you can breathe into it.
